The True Cost of Stress

Updated: Apr 24, 2020

It's the beginning of the year. The time when we set professional and personal goals. The time when we evaluate progress from the previous year and strategize how we are going to get where we're going in the upcoming years.

This can be a very stressful time! As you look at what may seem like failures and struggle to put plans in place to achieve more, the stress level could go through the roof. But stress, can take more of a toll than we realize. The mental and physical effects can range from minor issues to more serious health impacts. If you're dealing with stress now, or any other time, there are methods and tools you can use to manage your stress. These include, but are not limited to, incorporating meditation into your daily routine (to tackle stress in the moment or to proactively manage it), doing something fun (so you can distract yourself and relieve the tension), and seeking professional help (because sometimes you can't do it alone).

Know the signs.
